Welcome to the online home for the Bujinkan Shouki Dojo, a martial arts school that teaches Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu. We are a licensed member of the shidoshi-kai under Soke Masaaki Hatsumi of Noda, Japan. 

The Bujinkan is comprised of nine Ryu-ha (schools) that cover a wide range of techniques developed by the Samurai and Shinobi of ancient Japan. 
We are committed to providing effective and practical martial arts for the Yorkville, IL area. 

 

Bujinkan Shouki Dojo- Laughing Demon School

Most depictions of Oni (demons) in masks, sculpture, or paintings show them with a very large and scary smile. Legend tells this is because they know a great secret. Laughter is the only way to defeat our biggest enemy... ourselves. The inner demons float away on a smile.
